Don’t have much time today, but a couple of things that I have to get out of the way before thursday’s special post:

cardinals signed todd wellemeyer to a one year deal. he asked for 1.35 in arbitration, the cardinals offered 875 thousand, so they settled at 1 million plus he can make an additional 100 thousand dollars as incentives.

the great blog that C70 writes has moved to some new digs, he can now be found at the “blog by fans” networtk, here.

the non-roster invitation for spring training are set. 24 non-roster players are invited and all those on the 40 man roster will be there. there also might be a couple of lat additions like, gulp, juan gonzalez.

I will be starting my annual “On the offensive” series, dissecting the cardinals lineup spot by spot; I’ll probably begin either late this week or next week, look for that as come up soon.
