carp filthy, spezio hot, lead cards to first W of spring

carp was nasty for three innings, giving up two hits and no runs. the bullpen gave up eight runs. scott spezio had two hits, a 3-run homer and a triple and had another hit. he finished 3 for 4 on the day. aaron miles was five for five, but got caught stealing in th ninth inning and made a base running earlier in the game. duncan boubled and daubach double. so, it was a good game over all. cards win 11-8. in other news, hagin replaces carpenter in cards television broadcast on the wb11. also, albert, juan, ricardo have departed for the wbc, so did molina and oquendo. today and tomorrow, cards spring training games will be aired on the cards new flagship station, ktrs-the big 550. saturday the broadcast begins at 11:45 a.m. with the dugout show and the game starts at around noon. for more information on dates and times of broadcast, check out my earlier post of all dates and times of broadcast in an earlier post of mines.
