Cards whoop the phillies

April 4, 2006

finally, opening day has come and gone!

sorry, been gone from the blog a couple of days, had some major exams.

ok, baseball is back and the cards whooped the phillies 13-5. albert homered not once but twice, he went 2 for 2 with 2 homers, 4 rbis and a walk. there is no more doubting scott, Rolen is back to Rollin'! he was 3 for 5 with a grand slam and two singles, also had 4 rbis. all of the nine players who started the game got a hit, including chris carpenter. skip schumaker had a single when he came in for so taguchi. aaron miles went out of his mind. he went 4 for 5 with two doubles, a single, a triple and 2 rbis. he was a homer away from the cycle. it was a good day all around. carp was not at his best, gave up 4 earned runs, in 5 innings pitched and 9 hits. edmonds had a double after pujols walked in the first inning and drove in the first run for the cards in 2006.

there was only one bad thing that happened yesterday, that idiot rollins got a double off of wainwright. wainwright was down 3-0 in the count, so he pumped a fastball down the middle, and rollins pulled it to right field and got a double. god i hope he goes hitless either wednesday, thursday or both days so he can shut his big mouth.
