picks to click: cubs home opener

April 7, 2006

ok, about yesterday's picks. i went 1 for 2. edmonds got an rbi single, by the way the rbi was the 1,000th of his career (congrats jimmy!). that does not count though, because i thought he was going to have 2 to 3 hits with a homerun in there somewhere. im going to leave jimmy out of it today because i seem to be giving him bad luck. marquis i did pretty good with. he went 5 and 1/3 innings pitched, got the win, an rbi double and struck out 5. pretty good.

today's picks:

1. david eckstien: he has been down the last couple of games, he usaully does not stay down long. i expect him to get a couple of hits today and drive in some rbis since the latter part of the lineup seems to be doing a very good job of getting on base.

2. yadier molina: i'd like to see some power from our young prodigy, so i say he hits a homer today and collects another base hit or two even though he is probably the slowest runner on the planet.

Go cards, get us another sweep, 3-0, still going for that perfect record, 162-0 (plus going 11-0 in the post season!).
