oh yeah, i do have a blog…

August 3, 2007

the kipster is at it again, he gets another start

i have been doing other things this summer other than blog about my beloved cards.

obviously, they have not been that good, in fact, they have been a sub .500 team for a while now.  i still watch the games and root for the guys but i have so much stuff going on that i barely have time to blog.

please bear with me, as school starts in three weeks for me (my senior year as an undergrad student, how exciting and frightening at the same time). at that time around september 1st, i should be back and blogging everyday.

now, im working full time and shadowing doctors; im filling out applications and asking for letters or recommendation, you know that sort of thing.

just wanted to clear that up. i did not want you to think that i was not blogging because of laziness only.

now, we need shea hillenbrand to write this statement on the cards locker room board, “the ship has sunk already”.

yes my friends, the season, in my opinion is quit over. thats it, if you cant take two out of three from the worst team in the division, then you are done.

now, this weekend, if the cards loose two out of three or get swept in washington, i would consider that the nail on the coffin.

game one: tonight, its the kipster (again, how many starts is this guy going to get?) vs. tim redding; a former astro that is really a bad pitcher, think of a right handed odalis perez

game two: saturday night, joel pineiro vs. joel hanrahan; honestly i know nothing about these two guys accept the obvious, they both carry the same first name. by the way, does the acquisition of piniero remind you of the cards do nothing attitude around last season’s trade deadline? joel is basically this season’s jorge sosa.

game three: the wagonmaker, adam wainwright vs. matt chico; chico is that soft tossing lefty that shut the cards out for 5 or 6 innings the last time he pitched against the cards. i expect him to do the same sunday. wagonmaker is really going to have to bring it to win this game.

enjoy the weekend everyone, its going to be a hot one here in the STL!

Where do you go to school? School’s starting for me too, only I’ll be a freshman in college. I wouldn’t say the season is over yet; as long as the Brewers keep losing, there’s always a chance. And I like our chances this weekend against the Nats.

i’m going to go to semo. it’s actually kind of cool; i ended up getting the jack buck scholarship, so obviously the cardinals connection is there. we move in th 16th. thanks about my new look, i’ve been trying different things but i might stick with this for a while. 3 columns is a lot better, i just had to figure how to manipulate the html for it.

that loss was bad last night. joel pineiro goes today, and this could be a season-breaker game. tony really made me mad by going with ryan franklin – it was easy to see that coming. i refuse to give up hope though, we are playing the nationals.
